Sandra Ventris reads Irremediable by Ella D'Arcy

Sandra has been working hard on recording talking books for peopletalk in 2006.

Sandra Ventris began her career in the theatre while studying Fine Art Sculptur, at Manchester Youth Theatre.

TRAINING

On graduating from her BA Honours degree she began work for the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. A six month tour of Once a Catholic brought her back to Brighton, her home town.

A training in tailoring and pattern cutting in London, followed by a year with Agnews in Brighton. This qualified her for many seasons with Glyndebourne Opera house as a theatrical tailor.

Always adding to her technical and performing experience she has taught English in Italy with a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate.

She has performed in Gilbert and Sullivan production, gospel and panto. Roles include Lady Teazle, Mrs Erlynne, Nora, Hecbuba and an elf in Finland, spurred on by a course with London School of Theatre Studies. A one woman show called Jump and parts in Brighton’s Festival Fringe shows.

This year she had a show at the National Festival Paintframe, graduating at the Motley school of theatre design.

Film experience with Brighton based company.

In late 2006 Sandra finished her first audio book for peopletalk, Happiness by Anton Chekhov.

Sandra has now finished her second story called GHAMBA by Willian Scully. A powerful dark story set in South Africa about cannibals.
