Sara Mendes da Costa was born in Hertfordshire but spent most of her earlier life frequently moving around the country as her father climbed the career ladder.

Finally moving to, and staying in, the Brighton area, aged seventeen, she spent many years in sales and marketing before growing her own small company Zebratalk; A B2B telemarketing company.

At the point of expansion, she realised she was near to hating it! So, she made a life changing decision and decided to follow her dreams. She wound down the company, started penning a novel and also began launching herself into the world of voiceovers.

Four years on, she has her own sound studio and works regularly with international television and radio producers. Her clients include BT, BBC, ITV, Airmiles, IBM and many more. She has recently finished her first novel ‘Peanuts & Eggcups’ and is seeking that all-important publishing deal. She is currently writing, presenting and producing short documentaries and, of course, she is thrilled to have recently become the voice of the BT Speaking Clock; just the fourth, permanent, voice since it began back in 1936.

A Master Practitioner in NLP, she loves communication of all kinds and is now looking forward to a long and exciting creative career.

Currently single, Sara is living in Hove with her two cats and enjoying every moment of her thrilling new life.

Sara reads her first peopletalk audio book, the classic fable Beauty and the Beast by Marie Le Prince de Beaumont.
